Spacious and comfortable Self Catering Accommodation in the
coastal town of Taormina in northern Sicily, where the sun
sparkles over the crystal Mediterranean Sea and history stretches
back through the medieval stone and mortar to the time of
the ancient Greeks.
The Residence Il Glicine (that’s pronounced
“Glee-chi-ne”) is a newly renovated group of apartments
in this stunning holiday resort of choice for Italians. If
you’re looking to take your family or significant other
on a beach holiday with a difference this summer, you may
just have found an ideal option.

The Glicine’s new apartments have been refurbished
and made suitable for use as holiday homes, with care taken
to make sure their original Mediterranean-Villa character
is not lost. Each is set in its own private garden in the
historical centre of the town, with an ample sized terrace
for whiling away those balmy evenings with a few bottles of
fine Sicilian red. All come with air conditioning as standard
as well as other necessities (check our Property
Information page for the details).
The Residence Il Glicine Apartments are all mothered by
the long-established 3 star hotel overlooking the bay nearby, owned and run
for three generations by the amiable Gullotta family, and
they’ll be taking care of any issues you may have while
you’re here. The hotel can be your point of reference
and you’re welcome to utilise the various services offered
to the guests there.

The town of Taormina offers a little of everything for a
relaxing, stimulating summer holiday. Our apartments are all
in the historical centre near the legendary ancient Greek/Roman
Amphitheatre – the treasure of this quaint seaside town.
Also a short walk away is the funicular that takes you down
to the stunning beaches that this region is famous for. The
local cuisine is simply divine, the medieval nooks and crannies
of the town will keep you enthralled and when you’ve
digested all this sun-soaked paradise has to offer, the looming
form of Mount Etna to the south can be seen from just about
anywhere in the town.
